Writing in English at University is a free MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) developed at Lund University. The course covers different aspects of academic writing, such as how to structure your text and how to convey your argument, as well as how to use sources and how to edit your text. The course aims to provide guidance to all students, but will be especially useful to those with English as second language.
Helen Sheppard's (2004) set of guidelines for thesis writers within the faculties of science, engineering and medicine covers many aspects of academic writing:

The Department of Political Science (2011) has published a compendium for thesis writing titled The art of writing and speaking which is available on their homepage:
